Book Fair- This years book fair is titled “Reading Rainforest”. Last year we were able to earn over $1000 worth of books for our school. This is an opportunity to start some early Christmas shopping or donate a book to your child’s classroom. Set up will be Friday, October 13 at 5 pm and tear down will be Wednesday, October 25 at 5pm. We will need people to help with the set up and tear down as well as selling the books before and after school, during P-T conferences and during the Pumpkin Trail. Please contact Brenda C or Crystal S to help with the book fair. Committee members: Brad & Amy E, Kirt & Gale L, John & Joyce W, Laurie H, Laura R, Karin R, Branden & Lynne L, Heather G, Sara A, Sally K, Sonya S, Sandy S, Dave & Julie O, Melissa W, Jackie A, and Becky L. Pumpkin Trail- Our First Quarter Event is scheduled for Friday, October 20, 4:30-7. The book fair will be open during this time for you to look at the books with your child. We will need committee members to help with making/providing and serving pumpkin bars and apple cider. PTO will provide a pumpkin for each child. The pumpkins will need to be decorated and returned to school by Friday, October 20. Decorations should be applied to the outside. Do not poke holes in the pumpkins so they will hold up until Halloween. We will need volunteers to help set up the pumpkin trail that day before school gets out starting around 2 pm. If you are bringing pumpkin bars, they may be brought to school the morning of October 20 or after school by 4:30 pm. Apple Cider may be sent to school that day. Items should be brought to the kitchen. Please contact Paula M or Christy B to help with the Pumpkin Trail. Committee members: Brad & Amy E, Ken & Dani S, Scott & Carrie L, Scott & Lori T, Jodi R, Jeanette S, Sally K, Aaron & Tiffany S and Sandy S. Roomparents- Thank you to everyone who returned their forms for helping with your child’s classroom. The lists will be sent home with your child soon. The designated roomparent(s) will be receiving a packet with all of the forms for that classroom. Campbell’s Labels for Education- Change effective immediately. Campbell’s has made a change in the way that they accept the labels. They not longer want the label front. From now on we need to send in the UPC code from the labels to get credit for them. General Mills Box tops for education has provided us with sheets to attach the boxtops to. Trim the boxtops along the dotted line as you take them off the packages and affix them to this handy sheet. Whether you can find a few minutes a week, an hour a month, or can volunteer only once a year, your child and school will benefit. If you have any questions, please contact Christy B, Lorna W, Brenda C or Paula M.
